Ryan's television debut

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who contributed to Ryan's fundraising efforts for Jump Rope For Heart. He raised $225 for the American Heart Association through his school.

What made it a really big deal for Ryan was the fact that he was the school's top fundraiser for this year. He received a letter of acknowledgement and a medal seen in the photo above.

And...not only that. He was asked to appear on his school's in-house news program called "Lake Murray Live." The news program is put together by fifth grade students and broadcast from the Media Center each Monday and Friday morning.

In the picture above, Ryan was interviewed by his school's principal Lynn Boyleston and Mrs. Mizzell, his PE teacher.

In the short interview, Mrs. Boyleston asked Ryan where he was going to keep his special medal. He answered, "On the doorknob of my closet" which is where it has been hanging since it's arrival.

It was cute and I think he enjoyed his celebrityhood for the day!
