Last day of preschool

Last Thursday was the last day of preschool for both girls. Emma's class at Saxe Gotha did some fun summertime activities during that last week such as coloring with outdoor chalk, bubbles and then they had a little end of the year party on Thursday.

Avery's preschool at Pilgrim Church had their end of the year program and a picnic afterwards for family. Avery's two-year-old class got up in front of the packed church and sang several songs including "The Wheels on the Bus," "Jesus Loves Me," and "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear." They did much better this time around (versus the Fall program) and you could actually hear them singing and doing their hand movements to the songs.

Avery's teachers made cute t-shirts for each of them to wear with a school bus and children peaking out from the windows.

We pulled Emma out of her last day of preschool a little early to bring her back to Avery's preschool and participate in the picnic after the program. They served traditional picnic food of hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, and lemonade.

On our way out of the church picnic, the girls spent some time hugging the cemetery statue!

We played with bubbles for a little bit out back before they went down for naps, but just looking at Avery's face and posture in the photo above, you can see how exhausted she was from the day's events!
