Rhythm on the River

We were pretty busy last weekend. Friday night we took the kids to see "Hotel for Dogs" that was showing for free outside in Gibson Road Sports Complex in Lexington. Not only was the movie free, but the Radius Church and the Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission that put on the event also provided everyone with free popcorn, lemonade, snowcones and cotton candy!

Our kids loved the movie and surprisingly even though the movie didn't begin until dark (around 8:30 p.m.) they all made it through without crashing.

Saturday we decided to check out the Rhythm on the River concert series. These are free concerts that are held Saturday evening at Riverwalk Amphitheater along the Congaree River.

Saturday evening Brian Conner and His Amazing Friends were performing on stage.

The kids enjoyed slushies on the picnic blankets and the girls spent much of their time collecting rocks and visiting with random dogs.

Ryan wasn't feeling great that evening so we tried walking around for a little bit by the river. Unfortunately, he just started feeling worse so had to leave early.

It was a really nice atmosphere between the music, vendors and the river scenery. We will try to get back to another concert before the baby arrives.
