Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!

All three of our kids just love bubbles. Before the Rhythm on the River concert I had purchased bubble swords for each of them to bring along to keep them preoccupied. Of course since we ended up leaving earlier than originally planned, they didn't get a chance to play with them.

Once we got home, we took the girls out back to play with their bubbles.

Avery has finally mastered the blowing of bubbles (before she was just kind of putting the wand up to her mouth and sucking on it.) However, she loves just letting Emma blow all of the bubbles and chasing them around trying to pop them.

I have since had to buy more bubbles and since it is obvious we will go through lots of bubbles this summer, I plan to make some bubbles and keep it in milk jug to replenish as needed.

If you are interested, here is the recipe for making your own bubbles:

  • 1 Tablespoon glycerin (found in the lotion aisle in the drug store)
  • 2 Tablespoons dish soap
  • 9 oz water
