Vacation Bible School

Last night was Ryan and Emma's last evening of Vacation Bible School at our church. They got to wear their bathing suits to VBS since it was "water day." The evening before was "water day" but had been postponed due to storms.

Unfortunately, last night's "water day" did not amount to much either since, once again, the storms hit hard during the evening hours.
But they didn't seem to mind. They got to gorge on popcorn and snowcones and gather up a week's worth of crafts they had created.

Avery got to enjoy her last evening playing "only child" while we tried a new authentic Mexican restaurant down the road called Mi Pueblito.

The restaurant was terrific - I had a shrimp quesadilla with rice and beans and Michael tried their taco and a chicken quesadilla. They also served three types of salsa with their chips. Avery dined on the traditional French fries and chicken nuggets but liked to try everything on our plates. I look forward to going back and trying something new in the future.
